The price of Ethereum is looking pretty good, and with it at $1800, it certainly is starting to turn a few heads. But in light of Bitcoin at $48k, and $1800 ETH is not necessarily anything to write home about. Since Bitcoin has re-entered price discovery, it has certainly put pause to Ethereum's price discovery mode. Rather than a manic move by Ethereum over the last week, it is only being slowly dragged up by Bitcoin. Until we get more clarity over Bitcoin's price short-term future, Ethereum may take a back seat. Once that happens, however, notwithstanding Bitcoin capitulation, perhaps Ethereum can truly shine!
