The price of Bitcoin did in fact bounce off the 100D SMA, provided a much needed relief rally after 11 days of mostly just moving down. With this bounce we have seen many altcoins surge as well. Now that the dust has at least temporarily settled, let us take assess the situation with a damage report. Bitcoin fell below the 20D and 50D moving averages, and is now testing the 100D MA. A fall below the 100D MA likely takes us to the 20W SMA which is only another 15% drop. Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier was billed as the "Fight of the Century”— and now best-selling author Jim Rickards says the debate on gold versus bitcoin featuring Frank Giustra and Michael Saylor will be a battle of the ages. Money will become more and more digitized, according to Jim Rogers, investor, best-selling author, and co-founder of the Quantum Fund, but the question is whether or not non-government issued digital currencies will prevail.

“If cryptocurrencies become successful, most governments will outlaw it, because they don’t want to lose their monopoly, every government in the world is working on computer money now, including the U.S. The Chinese are there already. Ripple Sales Tenfold SE Asia

Blockchain payments firm Ripple, which is known for using digital currency XRP, has acquired a 40% stake in Malaysian cross-border payment startup Tranglo to gear up for its expansion in Southeast Asia, the firm announced on its website on March 30. The investment took place even as Ripple has an ongoing legal fight with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the United States.

Although it is unclear whether the acquisition is going to be realized in cash, equity, or via cryptocurrency, the partnership allows Ripple to capture burgeoning demand of cross-border remittance in the region and expand the reach of its On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) product, which uses XRP as a medium of exchange to facilitate cross-border money transfers. Bitcoin Bull Market Support Blasts Above $40k

The Bitcoin bull market support band, which consists of the 20 week SMA and the 21 week EMA now ranges from $40.4k - $42.1k. This is the price level that Bitcoin would want to definitively hold on weekly candles to maintain the integrity of the bull market. Right now, we are very far away from this level and it will seem out of reach to many.
