The GME Story - Retail vs Institutions

We dive into the equityverse to discuss Game Stop (GME) and the recent events surrounding. Retail investors realized that it would not take very much to start a massive short squeeze on GME, since hedge funds on Wall Street were shorting. In fact, more shares of GME were being shorted than even existed in the market! In order for the institutions to cover their positions as the price of GME went up, they would have to buy back GME at a higher price, thus contributing to a longer rally. Now these institutions are up in arms about whether retail is allowed to do something like this. We live in a day when information is readily available and you do not need to work at a hedge fund to make smart financial decisions. Riding momentum is something that even hedge funds do, so let's all play by the same rules. In this video I give my own candid thoughts on the whole situation and discuss the implications to potential new interest in cryptocurrency and decentralized finance (DeFi).
