Bitcoin on Track to Surpass Gold’s Market Cap with Alex Tapscott

Bitcoin has doubled in value in less than a year's time, says Alex Tapscott, author and Managing Director at Ninepoint Partners. Buying a cryptocurrency ETF is a a very, "simple, safe and, efficient way to get Bitcoin exposure," he tells our Daniela Cambone, comparing the trade to buying physical gold versus a gold ETF.

Tapscott surveys other cryptocurrency assets, and relates them to emerging companies, "where they may have the potential to grow and make a lot of money, but I think there's more risk inherent." He says that Bitcoin will surpass gold in terms of its size and its relative importance in the economy and investor portfolio's, concluding that, "we are still at the very, very beginning of this cycle."
