Insights Today

-The Moving Average Cap: BTC continues to trend below its 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs)—which rest densely between $64,523 and $73,303. Reclaiming these levels is necessary to flip the short-term bearish corrective wave back into a macro bullish trend.

-Hedge Funds Pivot: Despite negative short-term spot signals, institutional conviction remains notable. On the regulated CME, hedge funds have flipped net-long on Bitcoin futures for the first time in years. Compressed futures basis yields have forced cash-and-carry arbitrageurs to unwind short positions and adopt directional long exposure, signaling robust intermediate-term institutional backing.

-The Bottom Is In? Prominent analysts, including Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan, noted via Bloomberg that the crypto market's tendency to flatline or ignore bad news (such as legislative delays to the crypto CLARITY Act and the Coldcard hack) indicates that the absolute bear market bottom may have already been reached.
