Bitcoin (BTC) is trading at approximately $83,345, recovering from a dramatic overnight plunge to $81,033 that triggered massive liquidations across the broader crypto market. The asset swung through a volatile $3,000 range within the past 24 hours, briefly ripping back above $84,000 before settling into its current range below that key threshold.

Market leverage unwound drastically during late Monday and early Asian trading hours on Tuesday:

• $820 Million Liquidated: Total daily derivatives liquidations across the crypto market surged past $820 million, predominantly punishing over-leveraged bullish positions.

• Support Tested: The crash tested strong technical support at the $81,000 level, which holds as a critical line of defense against a deeper bearish corrective wave.

• ETF Outflows Continue: Institutional demand has temporarily cooled. Following $681.1 million in net withdrawals last week, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs registered an additional $65.4 million in net outflows on Monday.

• Corporate Accumulation: Countering the institutional selloff, MicroStrategy capitalised on the weakness, adding another 250 BTC to its massive treasury reserve.

• Macro Headwinds: Crypto markets are moving in tandem with broader global risk factors, including persistent geopolitical tensions, rising oil prices, and investor caution ahead of crucial U.S. inflation data scheduled for release this Thursday.
