XRP has moved lower into the support zone and reached the 61.8% retracement. The correction since the August highs is tracked as a wave 2 or B wave pullback, and on the smaller time frame the C wave has reached its 100% extension at $1.22. Nothing confirms a bottom yet, but this is the zone where a reversal can be attempted. If a low is confirmed, the first ideal target is $2.06.

XRP Insights Today

• The Binance Security Breach: Hackers successfully moved vast amounts of capital across major blockchains, heavily affecting BTC, SOL, and XRP. While Tether and Circle froze over $2.3 billion in stablecoins linked to the attack, the native structure of XRP means its stolen balances cannot be frozen by an issuer, leading to short-term market anxiety.

• Institutional Inflows & ETF Resilience: Despite a 25% price drop from recent local highs, institutional investment metrics indicate strong conviction. XRP Insights data shows that total exposure across six measured XRP exchange-traded products held remarkably steady at roughly 1.17 billion XRP, showing negligible outflows during the downturn.

• Swell 2026 Institutional Wins: Ripple just concluded its major Swell 2026 conference with significant milestones. Ripple secured conditional U.S. regulatory approval for a national trust bank charter to manage its stablecoin operations. Furthermore, institutional expansions were solidified with BNY Mellon adding XRP/RLUSD custody support, while Robinhood and Coinbase announced listings and integrations for Ripple's upcoming RLUSD stablecoin.

• Protocol Hardening (fixCleanup3_5_0): XRP Ledger developers introduced four code fixes this week to tighten security on who can hold permissioned tokens (like tokenized assets and regulated stablecoins). The update aims to prevent unauthorized wallets from acquiring restricted assets through trading pool exceptions.

• Upcoming Escrow Unlock: Investors are keeping an eye on November 1, 2026, when the protocol's automated escrow system will release its recurring monthly 1 billion XRP supply.
